According to ChainCatcher, Ripple’s XRP recent market report, the number of transactions on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has witnessed an outstanding surge. Crypto News reported that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has recorded 251.39 million on-chain transactions during Q1 of 2024. As per Ripple’s Markets report, XRPL has experienced a 108% surge in transaction volume from Q4 of 2023. During Q4, the XRPL on-chain transactions recorded around 121.03 million.
As a result, the number of transactions on XRPL has doubled from the fourth quarter of 2023 to the end of the first quarter of 2024. This has been propelled by a significant decrease in average cost per transaction. In fact, the average cost per transaction fell by 45% to approximately $0.000856.
In addition, the report also states that there was no network congestion despite having a downtick in average cost per transaction. Meanwhile, the daily spot trading volumes of XRP on major exchanges have risen by 40%. Moreover, major exchanges like Binance, Bybit and Upbit have accounted for more than 70% of the total volume.
