WEMIX is a next-generation blockchain gaming and Web3 ecosystem built by the South Korean company WEMADE. WEMIX MIlestones Year Achievements 2019 Official Incorporation Wemade Tree was set up in January 2019 with a clear goal to build a decentralized gaming platform. Around the same time, the team started working on the first version of the WEMIX token. 2020 WEMIX Platform Launch WEMIX 1.0 went live on the Klaytn network. This year also saw the release of early blockchain-based games like BirdTornado on the platform. 2021 MIR4 Global Phenomenon In August 2021, MIR4 Global went live and brought in the Play-and-Earn (P&E) model. The game picked up fast and turned into one of the biggest blockchain MMORPGs, crossing 1.3 million peak concurrent users worldwide. 2022 Mainnet 3.0 & Rebranding In October 2022, WEMIX launched its 3.0 Mainnet, an independent EVM-compatible Layer 1 chain. Around the same time, the ecosystem expanded with WEMIX$, WEMIX.Fi, and NILE. 2023 Migration & Institutional Shift WEMIX PLAY fully shifted to the 3.0 Mainnet. The focus moved toward omnichain growth through “unagi,” aiming to connect WEMIX with other major blockchains. 2024 Strategic Burn & Deflation The WEMIX BURN program came in with mass, batch, and auto burns to support tokenomics stability. At the same time, the platform grew its game library to more than 100 onboarded titles. 2025 Platform Overhaul & Recovery In June 2025, WEMIX PLAY introduced a major UI/UX update to make the experience smoother. By December, WEMIX.Fi was relaunched with features like liquid staking and V3 liquidity pools to increase on-chain activity and user engagement.
