About

Taiko is a decentralized Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain built using zkRollup technology and zkEVM (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine). The main idea behind it is to help Ethereum handle more activity without changing how Ethereum already works. Unlike many other Layer 2 networks, Taiko is a Type-1 zkEVM, meaning it is fully Ethereum-equivalent. Developers can move their existing Ethereum smart contracts to Taiko without rewriting code. It is known as a "base rollup," which means that it uses Ethereum’s own security and validator structure to sequence transactions, making it more decentralized than traditional L2s. Key Features of Taiko: • • Developers can easily build and deploy DeFi, NFT, and GameFi apps. • Transactions are cheaper, faster, and more scalable than the Ethereum mainnet. • It is fully decentralized with no central control and supports DAO governance. • Allows deployment of AI agents on Ethereum with sub-cent fees.
