Nibiru Chain is a Layer 1 blockchain and DeFi infrastructure platform built around the smart contract ecosystem. It focuses on scalable Web3 applications, decentralized finance (DeFi), and real-world asset integration. The goal is to improve collaboration between Web3 developers and users while reducing complexity. It is a high-performance multi-VM blockchain that supports both EVM and WASM. It is built with the Cosmos SDK and operates on the Tendermint consensus model. This setup allows the network to achieve fast finality, seamless communication across several networks, and excellent security. Nibiru Chain Milestones: Year Achievements 2022 Founding & Seed Round The project raised $8.5M in a seed round led by Tribe Capital, Republic Crypto, and Kraken Ventures. Testnet Launch The first public testnet phase (“Phase 1”) went live for validator onboarding and early network testing. 2023 Incentivized Testnet (ITN) A multi-phase ITN was launched and brought in more than 100k participants. Users tested Nibi-Perps (perpetual swaps) and Nibi-Swap (AMM). 2024 Mainnet Launch The mainnet officially went live in March 2024. It introduced a high-performance WASM smart contract execution environment. Exchange Listings $NIBI got listed on major global exchanges like Bybit, Gate.io, and KuCoin. 2025 Cross-Chain Integration Full support for IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) was added, along with EVM compatibility layers for smoother cross-chain use.
