inco.orgFounded 2023
Inco is an infrastructure project that aims to provide confidentiality and security services for developers to create privacy-focused smart contracts, DeFi, private payments, on-chain finance, gaming, governance, and identity projects without modifying existing blockchain infrastructure. Inco creates a privacy solution for Web3 that uses encrypted computations, confidential data processing, and sophisticated cryptographic techniques. Its modular design makes it easy for developers to add privacy functionalities to decentralized applications without compromising their performance or scalability. Key Features of Inco • • Enables smart contracts to work with encrypted data without exposing any private data to the chain. • Offers integrations with EVM and Solana infrastructures, wallets, and other development tools. • Utilizes cryptographic technologies resilient to attacks by future quantum computers. • Has a library of smart contracts to create private payments, DeFi, gaming, governance, and identity projects. Inco Milestones Year Achievements 2023 Inco was founded by Remi Gai in Manhattan, New York. The project was launched to build a universal confidentiality layer for Web3 using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). Inco raised $4.5 million in a seed funding round led by 1kx, with participation from Robot Ventures, Circle Ventures, and other investors. 2024 The team released its first developer documentation and launched Gentry, Inco’s initial testnet. Inco joined the ERC-3643 Association to bring programmable confidentiality to Real World Assets (RWAs). The project collaborated with ecosystem partners on confidential stablecoin frameworks, supporting private use cases such as on-chain payroll through initiatives aligned with the cERC20 framework. 2025 Inco secured a $5 million strategic funding round led by the a16z Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX), with new backing from Coinbase Ventures. The team launched Inco Lightning on the Base Sepolia test network, introducing privacy-focused applications such as Comfy and Hangman. Inco co-founded the Confidential Token Association alongside major Web3 infrastructure entities to help establish standards for secure onchain data.
