Hive is a decentralized, scalable, and fast blockchain designed specifically for social networks, gaming, and finance applications. Hive's primary goals include zero-cost and near-instant blockchain transactions as part of its Web3 vision. Hive uses a two-token economic model in which HIVE coins can be used for governance and various operations within the ecosystem, while HBD acts as a stablecoin for commerce and savings.
