If the SEC drops its appeal, it could clarify XRP’s classification as a non-security, significantly boosting its chances for ETF approval—a milestone the crypto community has been waiting for. So far, only Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have received approval, as these assets are not classified as securities.
Hopes are high that the new administration will approve several altcoin ETFs in 2025, including Solana and XRP. Companies like Bitwise, Canary Capital, 21Shares, and WisdomTree have already submitted XRP ETF proposals. Prediction platform Polymarket currently estimates a 75% chance of an XRP ETF being approved in 2025.
